Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please read this page carefully before proceeding.

Your Right to Data Deletion

We respect your right to control your personal data. You can request the deletion of your account and personal information from our systems at any time. This process complies with data protection regulations including GDPR and other applicable privacy laws.

What Gets Deleted

  • Your profile information and personal data
  • Account credentials and login information
  • Personal messages and communications
  • Saved preferences and settings
  • Device tokens and notification preferences
  • Personal photos and uploaded content
  • Prayer requests and personal notes
  • Community interactions and posts

What May Be Retained

  • Anonymous usage analytics (no personal identifiers)
  • Legal compliance records (if required by law)
  • Financial transaction records (for legal/tax purposes)
  • Public contributions to community discussions (anonymized)
  • Backup copies (deleted within 90 days)
  • Logs required for security and fraud prevention

How to Delete Your Account

Step 1: In-App Deletion

Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account in the app

Step 2: Email Request

Send deletion request to support@asarambapu.org

Step 3: Verification

We'll verify your identity and confirm deletion

Step 4: Completion

Account deleted within 30 days of request

Option 1: In-App Deletion

The easiest way to delete your account is directly through the app:

  1. Open the Asaram Bapuji Sewa App
  2. Go to Settings or Profile
  3. Select Account Settings
  4. Tap Delete Account
  5. Read the deletion notice and confirm
  6. Enter your password to verify
  7. Tap Permanently Delete Account
You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.

Option 2: Email Deletion Request

If you cannot access the app, you can send an email deletion request:

To: support@asarambapu.org
Subject: Account Deletion Request - Asaram Bapuji Sewa App

Please delete my account and all associated data from the Asaram Bapuji Sewa App.

Account Details:
- Email: [Your registered email]
- Phone: [Your registered phone number]
- Name: [Your name as registered]

I understand this action cannot be undone.

[Your signature]
You must send the request from the email address registered with your account.

Deletion Timeline

Immediate
Account access disabled, login prevented
Within 24 hours
Personal data deleted from active systems
Within 30 days
Complete deletion from all systems and backups
Upon completion
Confirmation email sent to you

Export Your Data First (Recommended)

Before deleting your account, you may want to export your data:

  • Personal messages and conversations
  • Saved prayers and spiritual content
  • Community posts and comments
  • Profile information and preferences
  • Event registrations and history

To export your data:

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy > Export Data in the app
  2. Or email privacy@asarambapu.org with your export request
  3. We'll send your data within 30 days in a readable format
Data export is free and available to all users at any time.

Consider These Alternatives

Before permanently deleting your account, consider these options:

Temporary Deactivation

Temporarily disable your account without losing data. You can reactivate later.

Privacy Settings

Adjust your privacy settings to limit data collection and sharing.

Notification Control

Turn off notifications while keeping your account for future use.

Data Minimization

Delete specific data types while keeping your core account active.
