Asaram Bapu Ji Ashram

The first Ashram of Param Pujya Shri Sant Asaramji Bapu was established in 1971, in Motera Village near Ahmedabad along the banks of river Sabarmati. It heads a variety of activities and numerous subsidiary organisations are running under the guidance of Bapu ji for the underprivileged and for social causes. There were some nearly 111 Ashrams all over India and more than 1200 meditation centres all round the globe precisely helping people to learn the ultimate truth.

All the Ashrams and the meditation centres are purely secular and prove to be a lighthouse for the people of this world swimming in turbulent waters, living in ignorance. They precisely work in the enlightening Bapuji’s presence and his divine words. There is a special women’s Ashram as well set up in Ahmedabad. The Goddess is present in every woman and it is just a matter of self realization and sadhana that she will be able to discover the underlying truth. These women devote their time under the guidance of Shrimati laxmi Devi. The devote most of their time towards sadhana and seva alongside meditation.

These Ashrams aim to show a path which is realistic in attaining peace and happiness. The activities are aimed at spiritual, moral and health uplifting of the masses. They even provide financial aid to people who are underprivileged and also come forward for help on humanitarian grounds when there are natural calamities. There are two main programmes specially organized keeping the youth in mind. They are Shaktipata and vidyarthi shibirs. These shibirs help young students gain knowledge from attending Param Pujya Shri Asaram Bapuji’s Satsangs from the nearest. They also help students to enter a mystic world of Kundalini yoga only possible through meditation. They get the spiritual knowledge and also understand the truth of life in the easiest possible language.

People who have already attended these shibirs or camps are a testimony to how their lives have changed. The change in their outlook has helped them get back their self belief and confidence and lead a stress free life.

Some of Bapuji’s Ashrams also have Maun Mandirs where people get a chance to stay in seclusion from the outside world for more than a week. This helps to gain rapid progress in spirituality. Satsangs and Shibirs are also set up for prisoners which help change their attitude towards life in particular and also gain peace.

Anti- addiction drives at various places of the country are arranged to help people shun away or quit addictive substances like alcohol and smoking alongside coffee and tea.

Caste, religion, geographic boundaries are never a hindrance to attend these shibirs to find spiritual enlightenment.
